News And Events: NorAm Race hosted by MHS

Noreaster Race Registration

Maine Handicapped Skiing will host the first ever Noreaster NorAm from March 20 to March 22, 2008. Disabled Athletes from around the country will be competing in the three day event consisting of Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Super Giant Slalom races. The Noreaster is sanctioned by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) All competitors must have a USSA competition license. More information about obtaining a license can be found at www.ussa.org. The event will be based out of the Barker Lodge at Sunday River, with Team Captain's meetings along with a wax room being at the Grand Summit Hotel.

We are also currently seeking sponsors for the event.
